WHAT TYPE OF SLEEP DISORDERS DOES SOMNODENT TREAT?

WHICH TEST ARE AVAILABLE?
Overnight Sleep Study Polysomnogram (PSG): A PSG is a test conducted in a sleep laboratory or hospital setting where the patient has to stay overnight.
Home Sleep Test (HST, also called an Out of Centre Sleep Test (OCST): This test is performed using a device that the patient wears in the comfort of their own home. The patient is given instructions on how to use the device and will return it to the dispensing office for the report to be evaluated by Somnolent®
HOW DO I GET DIAGNOSED FOR SLEEP APNEA?
There are the two main tests to help determine if you have a sleep disorder: Overnight Sleep Study Polysomnogram (PSG): a test conducted in a sleep laboratory or hospital setting where the patient has to stay overnight.
Home Sleep Test (HST): performed by using a device that the patient wears in the comfort of their own home. The patient is instructed on how to use the device and will return it to the dispensing office for the report to be evaluated by a specialist.
HOW DOES SOMNODENT® TREATMENT WORK?
During the first visit, our dentist will assess your issue by asking you a series of questions to determine which type of test is appropriate for your case.
After receiving the test results, your dentist will diagnose your problem and evaluate if SomnoDent® is the right treatment for you. In case of SomnoDent® is a treatment option for you, an impression of your bite will be taken and your custom devices will be ordered to be made.
It may take a few weeks for your SomnoDent® device will be ready for you to wear at night.
Finally, follow up appointments will be scheduled to verify the treatment is working as expected.
